BACKGROUND
Aurinia Pharmaceuticals is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company that focuses primarily on treating diseases in the autoimmune disease space - specifically lupus and lupus nephritis. Their patient demographic is mainly people of color and female.
SOLUTION
Soup to nuts, my team and I recreated the entire Aurinia website design, content and brand to become a robust online presence that demonstrates Aurinia’s commitment to autoimmune and kidney diseases and the patients it serves.
INSPIRATION
For what is sometimes called an "invisible illness," we wanted to bring attention to the patients suffering from autoimmune diseases and visually make them the focus of the homepage. Inspired by the Aurinia logo, we used double exposure-like images of patients whose expressions change from serious to fun-loving.
